HS7 Form : Revised 7 -2014 : Importation of Motor Vehicles and Motor Vehicle Equipment Subject to FMVSS

Revised 7 - 2014 : The HS7 is the Department of Transportation form that is required to be filled out and turned into customs when importing a vehicle to the United States. In addition to the HS-7 you need to fill out a 3520-1 for the EPA when importing motor vehicles and equipment.

    I've imported a completely stock and original 1960 Corvette show car from Canada. I have the 7501 form but do I need anything else? If so, where do I get it? Thanks!

    When the car entered the country a HS7, a 3520-1 should have been filled in. There is also a 3461 that is a release. Your customs broker should have completed these forms, and should have copies for you. Most of these can be done electronically these days, but most DMV want to see hard copies.
